I’ve been using the ‘heart’ button as a shorthand for keeping track of articles and tutorials that I want to reference in the future. I’m not able to find a list of them in my profile. If this doesn’t exist, can I request this feature to add to the development queue?

This would be a great feature, unfortunately it is not currently in place. User feedback plays a big role in what features we develop so I would strongly recommend you vote for the feature. It looks like there is a feature request for this functionality here.
