Posted on June 30, 2020

I tried to transfer file from ubuntu 20.04 to windows 10 using scp command.

scp “/home/tcd10/Documents/Anil/TestNoteDoc” laptop-m64u4rt7/armal@192.168.1.6:/Desktop/

But it show’s these below lines

cp: cannot create regular file ‘laptop-m64u4rt7/armal@192.168.0.6:/Desktop/’: No such file or directory

Hello, @anilmallidi

What you can do is use pscp from the Putty download page and then use it from the Windows machine’s command line (CMD) to download the file. The syntax will be:

pscp username@ip_of_linux_machine:/home/ubuntu/myfile.ext C:\Users\Name\Downloads

Hope that helps!
