How to use user_data to active WordPress through API

Posted on May 1, 2020

I’'ve managed to setup an API call to launch a new droplet with the WordPress image and read on This topic that it’s possible to use User_data to activate the installation. I really can’t find any inspiration on how to do this.

Does anyone know how to (using user_data) input the required options for the WordPress image installation?

Hi there @jsf571564c51495,

I would recommend checking out this blog post on how to automate App Deployments with User-Data:

https://blog.digitalocean.com/automating-application-deployments-with-user-data/

It includes a few examples on how to add user_data to your API call.

Hope that this helps. Let me know how it goes!

Regards, Bobby
