Question

i cant recieve UDP into the droplet

i cant recieve UDP at all into the droplet

here is how i test the issue

nc -ul 8443

echo test | ncat.exe -u insert_ip 8443

i disabled all firewalls

deleted firewall from DigitalOcean site, and then made new rule to allow all UDP TCP both inbound and outbound.

nothing seems to work, it used to work on a droplet i used for 3 months, just 2 days ago. what am i missing.

Heya,

Do you have something listening on that port 8443? Bear in mind that if you don’t have anything listening on the port even if you open it in the firewall or don’t have a firewall at all, the port will appear as closed just because there is nothing that responds when you call the port.

Heya, @expleasure

If the service listening on port 8443 is active and running you can temporary disable UFW or any Firewall rule that can be filtering the traffic to rule out if the issue is related to the firewall configuration.

Hope that this helps!

hey guys, thanks for responses. the issue is fixed now, apperently my ISP has UDP blocked for certain IP ranges in certain countries?.. uhhhhh anyway i tried out diffrent IPs for droplet and its ok now.
