Is it possible to connect my App, via private network, to my Droplet?

Greetings, I have a django application hosted on the new App service and a droplet postgres database. They are currently communicating via a public network. Is it possible to connect them using a VPC or ip6 instead of a public IP? They are both in the same region, I cant find any info about this online.

Thank you for the help.

  • Is this still not possible? I would like to have an APP that only accepts requests from droplets in my VPC or other designated Apps. This is similar to IP restrictions that is natively supported with the hosted database solutions.
