I just created a CentOS 7 (x64) droplet and I know that I can access it from anywhere as long as I have the IP address.
What I am curious about is… since this IP address is not associated with a Domain Name, is it still searchable by the public?

Depends on what you mean by searchable. Google will index a site that doesn’t have a domain name, but it will not do well in rankings at all.
If you want to stop your site from being index by search engines, you can create a file named
