I chose $5/month plan and installed Wordpress on my Droplet but I can’t log in via ssh or browser directly with password provided by DO. In a tutorial, it is written that in order to use Wordpress, we must choose at least $10/month plan. What about this prerequisite and my log in problem? Thanks.

There was an update to the WordPress one-click image yesterday which restricted it to 1GB or larger droplets. Until that time it was possible to launch a 512MB WordPress droplet but in most cases the MySQL service would eventually crash due to a lack of memory in the 512MB plan. Once our create page allowed us to restrict one-clicks based on droplet size WordPress was the first to get this restriction.
It is still possible to launch a 512MB Wordpress droplet if you need to. You can use one of the following methods:
- Create a LAMP one-click droplet and manually install Wordpress
- Create an Ubuntu 14.04 droplet and paste the script located here into the user-data field on the create page.
Should you decide to go ahead with a 512MB droplet running WordPress I would also recommend creating a swap file on your droplet to help prevent memory related crashes.
As for your initial question, I would recommend opening a ticket with our support team. They can assist you in regaining access to your current droplet and help troubleshoot login issues.
I’ve pasted the script, but the procedure isn’t same with one-click installation. What should I do then? Also, I don’t understand your first suggestion. Could you please explain deeply?
