Hi, i’m rebuilding a droplet from the Destroy menu tab and than rebuild using the LAMP 18.04.
My question is what is the default UNIX root password uppon login it asks (current) UNIX password:
While i have no password set and rebuilding using the 18.04 template doesn’t trigger a new password and does it just take the default SSH Key?

Hey friend,
Great question. If you originally built the droplet with SSH keys then there should be no password set (meaning none will be accepted), and the SSH key should be required to log in that way. Otherwise it should trigger a new password and an email to you on rebuild. You can use “Reset Root Password” under Access to do a reset as well, and perhaps test if you might be receiving our emails.
If you’re not getting any of our emails, reach out here and see if our support team can help: https://www.digitalocean.com/company/contact/#support
Don’t worry the support system sends through a different mailing system, so unless there’s a significant issue with inbound on your side, surely it can’t happen through both :)

Allrighty so just for completion: i can confirm original droplet was build using SSH key and after rebuild is still required over SSH and i have found the mail with the new Root Password in it.
Thanks for the speedy reply ! have a great day.
