Is it possible to recover from a snapshot on the SAME droplet so we won’t lose our IP address? I cannot find a way of doing this in the dashboard.

Yes. In the control panel’s list of droplets, click the “More” dropdown and select “Destroy” On the destroy page there are two sections. The top section is “Destroy Droplet”, this will permanently delete your droplet and lose your IP address so we won’t be using that section. The section below it is “Rebuild Droplet”. Click in “Select an Image” and find your snapshot, then click “Rebuild”. Your droplet will be rebuilt using your snapshot image while retaining it’s current IP address.
