Hello,
I have recently enable backups in my digital ocean enviroment. My question is will this also back up my mongodb database? And what’s the max amount of backups I can have? Or is there no limit.

Hey @kevinMorel
Disclosure I am the founder of SnapShooter and we focus on improving DigitalOceans backups for customers.
So if you have enabled DigitalOcean backups they are going to take a backup every week for you, they will keep the last four on file.
If you look at Snapshots you are able to keep much more, we have customers who keep over a year worth of daily backups. You pay the storage per backup (0.05$ per GB)
Anything that is written to disk at the time of the snapshot/backup will be backed up. If it’s in memory at the time, it’s going to get missed.
You can take snapshots as and when you want via the console, via the API or you use a service like SnapShooter to do hourly to daily droplet backups
