Hi,
I have a domain (iefguararapes.com.br) and I want to create the subdomain (el-search.iefguararapes.com.br). As far as I understood I just need to add a CNAME for the domain, like: CNAME * @ Is this approach correct?

If the subdomain will be hosted on the same droplet, then that is all you need for your DNS records. Using the wildcard, all subdomains will be directed to that IP address.
On the server side, you’ll need to remember to specify ServerName in your Apache VirtualHosts so that the right content is served for each domain. For information on using VirtualHosts, check out:
Should I be worried about the “not found”? I gave this command: host el-search.iefguararapes.com.br ns1.digitalocean.com The answer is: Using domain server: Name: ns1.digitalocean.com Address: 198.199.120.125#53 Aliases:
Host el-search.iefguararapes.com.br not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
