Trouble changing DNS MX Records

Posted on June 26, 2014

My scenario:

Domain points A records to DigitalOcean droplet IP

I change DNS from the DigitalOcean

How to create MX records to Accept mail from site5 host ip? I tried creating some records but this never seem to work. Please let me know if there is a way to do this through DO?

I want to host the site on DO and keep mail on site5 hosting and not google accounts.

Could you be a bit more specific about it never seeming to work? Setting the MX record should be as simple as adding the server on site5 hosting’s IP address into the MX field and assigning it a priority.

What are the exact problem you are seeing? There’s a good chance the issue is with something besides the MX record itself.
