Web/PHPStorm direct editing DigitalOcean droplet? C9 can, can you?

Posted on April 16, 2015

Is it possible to use WebStorm to directly edit (or appear to directly edit) a DigitalOcean droplet?

Cloud9 (c9.io) allows a browser based direct edit. I’m hoping you can too.

Thank you.

Hi!

It looks like PHPStorm supports projects that are hosted on remote servers. When you add a remote server, use the SFTP connection protocol with your SSH login credentials. SFTP is a file transfer protocol that uses SSH under the hood so it should work just the same.
