My company is looking for hosting for our two mobile and two web apps that are about to launch, but we don’t know what servers to buy. Collectively they will make up an on-demand platform, so they are not static applications. We estimate that a few gigabytes (less than 10) will be needed at the start, and we can scale if needed.
Does anyone have recommendations for what to purchase based on what has worked for them? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @christiannc,
Unfortunately, the question is impossible to answer. What you are asking is based on a lot of factors like - how heavy are the applicatiosn, how many external resources are they using, how well optimized are the applications, is the droplet optimized, different technologies have different limits, and many many more.
I doubt anyone else will be able to answer you as well. What I always do in such cases is start with the smallest droplet and as soon as I see any high load or the application starts loading a bit slower I go for the upgrade. I suggest you do the same. The Scaling up is pretty easy and quite fast so there is no need to worry on that front.
Hello @christiannc
Adding to the above answer, I would recommend you to go through our documentation link below which will help you choose the right plan initially. Later, you can upgrade to a higher plan as required.
Choosing the Right Droplet Plan
In case you are looking for App Platform plans then you can choose between Basic and Professional plan. We normally recommend a Basic plan for apps in the development phase and professional plans for production apps. Based on the resource requirement you can choose the plan and upgrade it when required.
Best,
