I tested all 3 locations, CA twice, by serverbear script. Here is all 4 test results from serverbear:
http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/06/27/zbKpR16LIvghk68o http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/06/27/9Cv5C2mSnEhJlhSg http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/06/27/p7TElooI8odR7ZbY http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/06/27/Kn4rTJC5hO3XiwIr
The network speed is so slow. Is it 1Gbps shared port speed?
Why? I am using pull CDN, so I want my content pull to CDN as fast as possible, when the first visit. But the test result is so slow, even in US. Only the speed in the same state is good…

Have you got VirtIO enabled on your droplets? That’ll help throughput.
As you can see, the network works fine to places outside DO’s own network, and it tends to work fine to CDNs.

The issue might well be that the servers, on your various tries, were loaded down a bit more than they should be. Not to mention that download tests from a server won’t reflect upload bandwidth.

I’ve personally seen a reliable 20 MB/s pushed from a droplet (I’m guessing the gigabit is shared between all droplets on the hypervisor). Want more than that? BetterServers starts at $50 per month and their hypervisors are 10G-connected.
