I would like generate an email with a filtered digest of the errors in the logs for our different app components and droplets over a given period of time.
Is there a way to send an email to one or more of our DigitalOcean notification emails that leverages the existing notification system, or do we need to use an e-mail add-on and route it through a third party (, or is there another option)?
Thanks!

Hey Gary,
Right now, DigitalOcean’s built-in notification system doesn’t support sending custom log digests or filtered logs by email, it’s mainly used for system alerts like Droplet health, billing, and monitoring events:
For your use case, you’d need to set up something custom. A common approach is to use a log aggregator like Logtail, Datadog, or Grafana Loki to collect logs from your apps.
Then apply filters to only catch the error-level logs. And also you can set up a cron job or scheduled function to generate a digest (e.g. in a shell script or Python), then send it via a third-party email service like Mailgun, SendGrid, or even SMTP.
This gives you full control over what gets emailed and when.
