How I can protect my server from DDoS attacks?

Security Load Balancing DigitalOcean

I'm looking for a DDoS mitigation service. The "Floating IP" is a very good idea but it doesn't prevent DDoS attacks. Do you know a good hosting with DDoS protection?

I contacted support of DigitalOcean but they unfortunately do not provide anything to prevent these attacks.

If you running a web server, you should look into to cloudflare. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/does-digital-ocean-comes-with-anti-ddos-protection

There are also other 3rd party DDoS migration services, which works as a proxy and it will filter incoming connections to your server. You have to keep your backend ip address as a secret. Downside with this is, they are usually expensive and adds latency.

Depends on what your trying to protect. What service is getting ddosed?

Hi fried! I have been using the web hosting with very effective DDoS protection http://v-sys.org/services/ddosprotection/remotesite_protection . It works fine for me. Hope, you will find it useful!
