Question

How to setup server block on existing website

As I was following the tutorial on how to set up the server block, the site I had already hosted on the site was deleted. I am wondering, is there a way to set up server blocks on Nginx without necessarily deleting the actual site?

Hi @njonjoLobster,

There is no need to delete the website on your Droplet, you just need to add the changes in your Domain’s Nginx config file and restart Nginx.

Basically, open /etc/nginx/sites-available/example.com and in there make your changes. Once done, just restart your Nginx service and you are good to go:

systemctl restart nginx

Oh don’t forget to change example.com with your actual domain.
