So - I have got my website using Digital Ocean up and running and I am looking at performance in terms of startup/loading times.
When starting the web page in Chrome using Chrome tools the first line in the network tools reports 1.24 seconds of which proxy negotiation is 1.01 seconds - which is almost 25% of the total time it takes to load the whole website.
I have know idea what is meant by “Proxy negotiation” or what to reasonably expect in terms of what time it should take.
So my question is two fold - firstly what to expect in terms of loading a website hosted on Digital Ocean, and secondly how to make it as fast as possible - i.e. increase size and memory of the droplet?

Hi!
Do you have a proxy configured locally on your computer or Chrome? If so, try disabling it. Also see if the same happens on a different computer connected to a different network.
Your website loads quickly in ~200ms on my end and I do not see a Proxy negotiation delay:
