While this post is quite old I was going through the community and noticed it. I can confirm Almalinux has been added and is usable for Droplet creation.
I hope DO is smart and adds AlmaLinux soon. It is the clear leader in replacing CentOS and has a great team, will not go the way CentOS went and has a clear direction.
