Question

Build static sites outside DOAP pipeline and host them inside DOAP

Hello,

I would like to know if we can build a Angular app outside DOAP but let DOAP manage and host it. Do you have clues on how to manage that ? Can we build the app, push it on, let’s say, Digital Ocean Spaces and let DOAP manage the app ?

Thanks,

You can achieve that by doing the following:

  1. Create a dedicated git repo for the built website e.g. angular-prod. This repo will only contain the live production build of your site—i.e. with the index.html file at the root of the repo.
  2. To deploy a new version of your app, build it externally and commit the generated static files to the angular-prod repo.
  3. Create your app as a static site using the angular-prod repo and enable Auto Deploy on Push.

Does that fit your needs?
