Question

docker push to container registry leads to retries and EOF error

I keep trying to push an image to my Container Registry and have the following error, over and over and over.

EOF

It’ll push layers. Then say it will retry. Then eventually it dies at EOF. As far as I know there isn’t an easy way to debug what could be the error.

I made sure to run doctl registry login.

I was able to push the image to Docker Hub without error.

It looks like it was due to my Netgear router blocking fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com for spam.

Plume mesh routers also can block the connection. Best to check your router logs.
