Following the sequence :
$ cd ~
$ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_16.x -o nodesource_setup.sh
$ sudo bash nodesource_setup.sh
I am getting the error :

Please try using :
sudo apt-get clean
and then try again to instal NodeJS.
If this doesn’t work, what you can do is get rid of that repository, check your /etc/apt/sources.list file and any *.list files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ directory. Find a line that looks like this:
deb http://oem.archive.canonical.com/updates precise-oem-sp1 [...there may be something else here...]
and remove or comment it out. Then run sudo apt-get clean, and then try updating/installing NodeJS again.
