How to bind server to IPv4/IPv6-only connections in App Platform

I have a server that limits users through different ways, such as authentication, cookies, and ips.
Logging the ‘do-connecting-ip’ header in a NodeJS app, I’m able to get both IPv4 and IPv6 versions of a single client randomly. I’ve tested this with my own laptop and this is indeed happening.
This is a problem since I lose the ability to restrict users by their IP as well.
My question is, is there a way to listen to only IPv4 or IPv6 addresses in App Platform? Or do I have to switch to another service like Kubernetes (or something else)?

I believe that this is not doable as of the time being but it sounds like it’d be quite useful.
The best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.
With a Kubernetes cluster and a managed Load balancer, you will only have IPv4 enabled as the Load balancers do not currently support IPv6.
