Fullstack Jamstack on DigitalOcean With App Platform

Video

About the Talk

Jamstack is all the rage in development these days. And for good reason! Jamstack gives us the ability to speed up our development and to scale to incredible traffic quickly, easily, and cheaply.

Jamstack falls short though in that a static site usually has to find a solution to bring in a backend server and database.

Let’s talk about how a Fullstack Jamstack environment can be created on DigitalOcean. We’ll create a server, API, and a static frontend in this talk and host it all on DigitalOcean App Platform.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to deploy a static site to DigitalOcean
  • How to deploy a database, server, and API
  • How to connect a backend API and a static frontend
